“ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME NOW”?

2 Tim. 3:16 - “All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness”.
"Only God can judge me...", that was Tupac that coined this phrase, not Jesus. Jesus said to judge not that you not be judged...but if you continue reading, He's saying TO SEE WHAT IS IN YOUR BROTHERS EYE, YOU MUST GET YOUR EYE STRAIGHT FIRST. He didn't mean to not be accountable for them & just not say anything to help them. LEADERS have put this out in the Church & even the world have caught hold to it - the religious & the world think that accountability means exposing you so that you'll tighten-up on your lying, faking & dirt & "don't get caught". It IS possible to hold a brother or sister in Christ ACCOUNTABLE without judging them & it’s okay, if they permit, to look out for one you take under your wing.
Like the rest of Earth, we, as leaders, have our problems & demons too. And sometimes leaders may not feel to good about hearing the Truth, thus they backed-up that Tupac phrase. But Jesus already proclaimed that "It is finished" so GOD USES PEOPLE now to get His Message out. The Book of Judges is FULL of judges who judged Israel. Elijah calling down fire was pronouncing judgement. Elihu reproved Job & God came RIGHT behind Him & dealt with Job AND NOT ELIHU. God used people & He still does. It’s not about condemning people, but rather God THROUGH us judging the people’s ACTS in Love. Maybe by hard-love, but it’s Love nonetheless.
Jude 1:14-15 says: "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, THE LORD comes with ten thousands of his SAINTS (that's PEOPLE, NOT ANGELS & NOT GOD) to execute JUDGMENT upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly DEEDS which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him". This doesn’t mean that anyone is “trying to take God’s place”. Just because the mailman brings you a bill doesn’t mean he hates you. Likewise, someone loving you enough to tell you the Truth is a friend, not an enemy. Love is not always about making you “feel good”. Truth hurts; We all know that. But maturity calls for change & until you’re TRULY offended, you won’t position yourself for change. Now, it’s not all about going around offending folks, by no means. NO-ONE will be changed against their will...and NO-ONE can see straight without correcting HOW they see things...and NOT EVEN GOD CAN MAKE YOU CHANGE WITHOUT YOU BEING WILLING TO BE PROCESSED. NOW you see how society can be in the shape it’s in, because socially we’ve accepted these types of LIES as the Truth & continue in this type of “it’s-never-me-it’s-always-you” thinking. LEADERS NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. And though an elder can’t be rebuked, they CAN be corrected - look at Elihu helping & correcting Job & then the Lord comes behind Elihu in a whirlwind to back up Elihu’s words because he was relaying the heart of GOD. God IS holding leaders responsible for what’s put out here in society. Just because it’s socially accepted DOES NOT make it right. Cliche’s & socially-accepted religion is going to have some end-up in a place they really didn’t meant to.
Reproving is not condemnation, but if someone is condemning or bashing, then it’s NOT God. And if you’re easily-offended it means you lack understanding - It doesn’t mean a person is hating, picking on you or judging you because they correct you out of love. The Word CAN, and through-out the Scriptures WAS, used directly to speak to a person or group of people, though some leaders teach that if the Word spoken has a target then it’s condemnation but then they may do it to a chosen few in a congregation with intent to condemn. Helping out of love & concern is not judging. Many leaders who don’t want to be processed equate ‘judgment’ with ‘justice’, so when they feel exposed or convicted, instead of repenting & turning, they want Grace & Mercy; No-one wants leaders bullying people because they feel or felt bullied. That’s another story. So a court-judge ain’t picking on you just because he made things right, fair, even, equal, balanced, etc. Likewise, those who tell the Truth IN RIGHTEOUSNESS aren’t ‘bad’ people. There MUST be a voice for the down-trodden, mislabeled, bullied, the widow, etc. So those who stand for righteousness according to the Word of God aren’t “judging you”. They’re trying to help.
To “call you out your name” may be judging you. Someone calling you something when cussing you out is judging you. A lot of that garbage when back-biting & talking about folk is judging, though we think that’s just “having fun”; Simply a ‘perk’ to salvation that is harmless. But a Believer telling the Truth in Love is NOT judging. It may expose & shed light on some mess. It may get the gears rolling & prompt you to think, but it’s NOT judging. Of course the mature need to be led as to how to say it. The Word says in Prov. 27:5 that “Open rebuke is better than secret love”, but with the spirit of religion running rampant, many easily-offended, church-going folks refused to hear the word, “No” long ago, let alone a rebuke. not everyone will wish to hear the Truth of God’s Word spoken in Love. The Word tells us “Do not rebuke the foolish or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you. Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning” - Prov. 9:8-9.
Now, the Lord God is a righteous Judge, which isn’t a bad thing, it means that He's fair & has the Believer’s back according to His Word & can extend Grace FOR GRACE, so we should show Grace if we need Grace. This is a lot; I’ll update & revise this when I can.
